Tickets Information
Graduates who are marching in the Commencement ceremony receive up-to three tickets.
All tickets are for general admission (no assigned seating).
Graduates should distribute their tickets to their guests in advance of Commencement.
No guest will be admitted to the venue without a ticket.
Ticket Pickup
Graduating students can pick up their tickets at the same time and place they pick up their cap and gown:
Monday, May 20, through Wednesday, May 22, from 12:00-7:00 p.m. each day at 66 West 12th Street, room 510.
- You must present your photo ID when you pick up your tickets.
- If you cannot pick up your tickets yourself, please provide your representative with a signed letter from you authorizing him or her to do so. The person must be prepared to present his or her photo ID.
- Students who do not need all three of their tickets should let our staff know at pick-up, so that the extra tickets can be made available to those on the waiting list (See below).
- Students who do not pick up their tickets by May 22 will forfeit their tickets.
Distribution of Extra Tickets
Commencement is a popular event that generally fills to capacity. The few extra tickets that may become available are distributed via a waiting list. To add your name to the list, make sure your New School Gmail account is open on your computer, then go to the waiting list form.
Statement on Sale and Other Misuse of Commencement Tickets
The New School prohibits the sale or purchase of Commencement tickets and the posting of advertisements offering tickets for sale or requesting tickets for purchase. The New School also prohibits the duplication of tickets as well as the production and use of counterfeit tickets.
