In an ex-pat community in
Brussels, ten-year-old Bee imagines herself inside the nightly newscasts of her
radio journalist father. When her mother begins an affair with the diplomat
next door, Bee recruits the man’s son to help realize her fantasies. As their
make-believe escalates, a new reality threatens the fragile world the two
families have constructed.

After
the death of their mutual best friend, Julie and Lorna find being roommates has
become intolerable. Seeking solace, Julie finds a kindred spirit in her dead
friend's brother, Matt. When Lorna discovers they’ve become romantically
involved, she retaliates by filling the empty bedroom with a bizarre new roommate,
Avery. Lorna soon finds, though, that Avery's presence pushes her friendship
with Julie to the edge. Can it survive?

Adria and Liv’s relationship is crumbling—and
the decision to move in together only adds further strain. When Liv gets in a debilitating bike
accident, the two are forced to reassess the nature of their relationship,
bringing to surface secrets, ethical differences, and painful truths.

Being the
admirable portrait photographer that he is, Ben has agreed, on Christmas Eve,
to squeeze in one last session for Emily and her siblings, Sam and Hannah.
Emily wants to give their mother a photo album for Christmas—a suggestion
from the nursing home staff where she will soon be living. Inside the studio,
with the help of the camera lens, we are able visit moments from the past and turning
points in the ongoing debate over what’s best for Mom. Ultimately, with Sam in
New York on the cusp of fatherhood and Hannah pursuing musicianship elsewhere,
it is Emily that must choose between the life of a caretaker and the career
she’s always wanted.
