Earn your bachelor’s degree at The New School for Public Engagement while becoming a culinary professional, trained by the International Culinary Center.
Our mobility agreement enables students in The New School for Public Engagement (NSPE) Undergraduate Programs to apply to and enroll in one or more of the culinary or pastry professional training programs of the International Culinary Center (ICC) in New York City or California. Participating students will maintain their eligibility for scholarships, loans, and other financial aid available to all regularly enrolled NSPE students.
Designed for The New Culinary Professional
This new mobility agreement enables undergraduates to gain professional culinary skills while staying enrolled as fully matriculated students at The New School for Public Engagement. The credits acquired at The ICC will be applied as non-liberal arts credits towards the Bachelor of Science degree (up to 60 credits) or Bachelor of Arts degree (up to 30 credits) at The New School.
Eligibility Requirements
To participate, NSPE students must:
- Be registered as fully matriculated NSPE undergraduate in good standing
- Have completed at least 24 credits in the Bachelor’s Degree program (BA/BS)
- Have a cumulative G.P.A. of at least 3.0
- Have no outstanding financial liability to The New School
Take the Next Step
NSPE undergraduates interested in applying should speak with their NSPE advisor to ensure that The ICC program of interest does not surpass the total number of non-liberal arts credits allowed as part of the Bachelor of Art degree (30) or Bachelor of Science degree (60). Students must then complete and submit an application to The ICC. If accepted, tuition, fees, and charges for the culinary courses will be paid directly to The ICC.
