Personal Drive Space:
All staff and faculty have 10 megabytes of network drive space stored on the "I:" drive. You can access this drive by logging into any campus computer that runs Novell. Data stored here is automatically backed-up each evening to backup tape. These tapes are archived for 3 weeks (21 days). After 3 weeks the files can no longer be restored from tape.
Shared Drive Space:
Groups of workers with common projects can *request shared network drive space on the "S:" drive. Only members of the group can view and access files stored here. Data stored here is automatically backed-up each evening to backup tape. These tapes are archived for 3 weeks (21 days). After 3 weeks the files can no longer be restored from tape.
REMEMBER: Your files will remain on the I:\ drive until you delete them. But if you accidentally delete files from your I:\ drive and you wish to have them restored, you must make your request within 3 weeks (the sooner the better) or we will not be able to recover the files.
