Design Workshop is an innovative studio that provides pro bono architectural and construction services to nonprofit organizations while giving graduate architecture students the rare opportunity to both design and build a community facility.
Since its establishment in 1996, Design Workshop has helped meet community-based organizations’ needs, ranging from green space to educational and recreational facilities for children.

NCS is an organization committed to ending homelessness by providing men and women with housing and support services. The recently completed Young Adult Residence is a home for individuals who have aged out of foster care.
Design and build an addition on the roof of the NCS Young Adult Residence.
The rooftop addition provides green space where residents can cooperatively farm and grow plants in a safe and tranquil setting.
