The Bachelor of Arts or Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies is awarded upon the completion of 120 credits, including at least 59 credits in the major (15 courses, an internship, and a senior thesis for the BA; 18 courses, internship, and thesis for the BS).
By taking an additional 12 environmental
studies credits, a student can earn the BA with a concentration. There
are three concentrations: Urban Ecosystems; Sustainable Design; and
Environment, Society, and Public Policy. Concentration credits are
earned by taking three 3000- or 4000-level courses approved for the
particular concentration. Students are encouraged but not required to
complete a concentration.
*A student may elect an alternative course if approved by an academic advisor or a core faculty member in Environmental Studies.
