
This post-master's certificate is designed for professionals working as or wishing to enter the field of institutional planning as internal or external consultants to large and small institutions in the public, nonprofit, and for-profit sectors. The program addresses the challenges of organizational development and effectiveness on
three levels: individual, group, and organizational system.
The New School confers the Certificate in Organizational Development for completion of a short structured program of study that provides critical competencies needed to be an effective organizational development practitioner. A certificate attests to successful
completion of a short set of courses designed to establish
proficiency in a specific skill set.
Admission
Applicants must have a graduate degree from an accredited university. Students come from diverse fields, including law (JD), business (MBA or MS), education (MEd), psychology (MA or MS), social work (MSW), sociology (MA). Contact the Office of Admission to apply or inquire.
Students enrolled in certain master's degree programs at The New School may be able to earn this certificate concurrently with the master's degree. Contact program manager Suzanne Bostwick for details and limitations.
