Organizational development (OD) practitioners recognize the humanistic role of managers and leaders and work to co-create and facilitate imaginative, systems-embedded organizational change. Our professional certificate is designed for current internal and external practitioners to build on their professional knowledge and those wishing to enter the OD field.
The Milano School approach is one of highly engaged learning carried out in action-oriented projects where students develop their capacities through reflective practice. The Organizational Development certificate curriculum is critically reflective, rooted in real-world experience, and flexible in delivery. Our focus on change leadership competencies prepares students to work with a wide diversity of cultural and social identity groups within the global community in organizations that cross sectors.

Milano professional certificates may be earned while also earning a graduate degree at The New School. Many students elect to earn these certificates concurrently to help substantiate an area of specialization within a larger degree program. Concurrent enrollment in the Organizational Development Certificate Program is open to New School graduate degree candidates outside of the MS in Organizational Change Management (OCM). If you are enrolled in a New School graduate program outside of OCM and considering the Organizational Development Certificate, please contact program manager Suzanne Bostwick to inform the program of your intent to pursue the certificate and discuss requirements.
