The New School for Public Engagement
offers bachelor's degrees for transfer students and adults seeking an
alternative to the traditional four-year undergraduate college
experience.
Many undergraduates come to The New School for Public Engagement to complete their education after several years' absence from college. Others transfer in from a two-year college or vocational education program. Every program of the School of Undergraduate Studies provides an extensive rigorous curriculum that will build a strong educational foundation for career advancement or graduate school.
Most of our students are working adults who need a college that can accommodate their busy lives. Part-time students are very welcome, and almost all courses that meet on campus in Greenwich Village are scheduled on evenings and weekends. We also offer many courses online, and it is possible to complete some of our degrees entirely online without coming to New York City.
With access to the resources of a leading New York City university, an esteemed faculty dedicated to the principle of lifelong learning and to working with nontraditional undergraduates, and a wide range of networking, internship, and civic engagement opportunities, our students enjoy a rich and unique college experience that they can tailor to their individual needs.
