The New School for Public Engagement offers undergraduate programs designed specifically for transfer students, including working adults of all ages, who wish to finish their bachelor’s degrees in flexible program at a progressive institution. Admission advisors are waiting to talk to you about your plans and needs and to discuss whether one of our programs is the right program for you.

Information Sessions
Meet members of the faculty and admission staff of the School of Undergraduate Studies. Get answers to all your questions, including ones about degree options, credit for prior learning, financial aid, and admission requirements. Recommended for prospective students who have not yet applied. See the schedule and sign up for an Undergraduate Information Session.
Student-Led Tours
Hour-long walking tours of the New School campus in Greenwich Village are led by current undergraduate students. Tours take place Monday through Friday at noon. You must book in advance. We recommend the tour to all prospective students, whatever their application status.
Individual Admission Counseling
If you wish to meet one-on-one with an admission counselor, call 212.229.5150 or email nspeundergrad@newschool.edu and schedule an appointment, or drop in during our open advising hours.
- One-on-one appointments can be scheduled Monday through Friday, 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m., except when the university is closed for holidays or recesses.
- Walk-in advising hours are Monday through Friday, 11:30 a.m.-2:00 p.m.

Visit a Class in Session
We’re proud of our distinguished faculty and our students. You’re invited to sit in on a class in session and experience the School of Undergraduate Studies for yourself. A large number of class visits representing a range of subjects are offered every term. Only one visitor is permitted in any class, so it is important to sign up early. The School of Undergraduate Studies offers interactive admission information sessions online several times a year. We May Be Coming to You
Every fall and spring, New School admission counselors travel to college fairs and community colleges in the New York City metro area and other parts of the northeastern states to introduce our unique undergraduate programs for transfer students. A travel schedule for fall 2013 will be available in late July. Please check back at this website or contact us in July.
