Heart of the City: The New School Aids in Sandy Recovery
When Hurricane Sandy swept across the metro region in late October, every member of The New School community was affected. With power out downtown for days and transportation disrupted for months, students, faculty, and staff pulled together to care for our immediate community.

The Newcard takes on the village
This semester, the university launches newcardcash, a debit card feature on your ID card that can be used at select off-campus merchants as well as at The New School’s cafeterias. Now, participants can deposit funds right onto their cards, which can then be used around Greenwich Village.
