Students of the African Diaspora (SOAD)

Gender Studies Program at Eugene Lang College

Gender Studies is an interdisciplinary area of study that draws on courses offered throughout the university. Students take approved gender studies courses to supplement their primary course of study. Those who complete the program of six courses (two introductory courses, three intermediate-advanced courses, and a senior capstone course) under the guidance of an Gender Studies advisor can request a letter attesting to their completion of the program.

Callen-Lorde is New York City's only primary health care center dedicated to meeting the health needs of the lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender communities and people living with HIV/AIDS. Lower East Side Harm Reduction Center at The New School

The New York City Health Department provides free and confidential clinics that test for HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases.  Prior appointments are not required. HIV counseling and rapid HIV testing are also offered. Patients have the option to be tested anonymously.

CLAGS was founded in 1991 as the first university-based research center in the United States dedicated to the study of historical, cultural, and political issues of vital concern to lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender individuals and communities. The organization sponsors public programs and conferences and offers fellowships to individual scholars.
