New Student Orientation
Monday, August 19 through Sunday, August 25, 2013
All new students are expected to attend New Student Orientation.
New Student Orientation for undergraduate and graduate students takes place August 19–25, 2013. Orientation is intended to help students become members of our university community. Students receive important information about academic policies and the course registration process for their division of the university. In addition, workshops introduce students to resources and services available at The New School.
Check back after July 15, 2013 for your division's orientation schedule. Please be sure to print a copy and bring it with you when you arrive on campus.
Please note:
- Attendance is mandatory at certain orientation sessions, so carefully review your division's schedule and note the required events.
- New students in the School of Undergraduate Studies (BA, BS, and BFA) should plan to attend the academic orientation session on Thursday, August 15, 2013. Refer to The New School for Public Engagement orientation schedule for other events during orientation week.
- ESL + Design Certificate students:Do not attend New Student Orientation events. For more information about registration and orientation, visit the ESL + Design web page.
