New School housing offers a safe and convenient home base in New York City for all summer interns and college students, whether they are affiliated with The New School or with other colleges and universities.
This year, we are offering housing in three suite-style residence halls for students doing internships in New York City over the summer: the 20th Street Residence, the Stuyvesant Park Residence, and Loeb Hall.
The 20th Street Residence is in the heart of Chelsea, with art galleries, excellent dining, the High Line, and Hudson River Park all within a few blocks. The Stuyvesant Park Residence and Loeb Hall are both a short walk east of Union Square, a summer evening hangout for young people from all over the city and the venue for the famous Green Market, held four days a week.

To be eligible for Summer Intern Housing, you must be a degree-seeking student at a college or university in the United States or abroad and must have an internship assignment in New York City or nearby (or else be registered to take summer classes at The New School or another local college or university). Summer Housing Concierge
Having a place to sleep and connect to the Internet in New York City is essential, but The New School feels that visiting students need more than just basic amenities. Both residences offer scheduled programs and concierge service. Students are encouraged to ask the concierge for tips about dining, entertainment, and other New York City activities; places of interest; and directions to and from wherever they need to go.
